Opinion: Wikipedia is a reliable source [citation not needed]
February 15, 2022
“Wikipedia isn’t a reliable source.” I imagine that many teachers have said that in the past. It has single-handedly limited the learning of an entire generation. Wikipedia is an incredible way to learn and it is not linear. People even make videos connecting two random objects on Wikipedia. I can already sense some teachers typing “bUt aNyOnE cAn EdIt iT!” That’s true for some articles, but the vast majority of important articles are locked to the public. Even if you manage to vandalize a Wikipedia page, it will get fixed nearly immediately. Trust me, I’ve tried to before.
