Ventura High School sent blank yellow bracelets out to all its students on Tuesday, January, 10 during their fourth period classes. Students were instructed to write an inspirational message on the bracelet, which would all be pieced together to create a ceremonial flag for VHS.
During second period on Friday, January 12, students, teachers, and administrators gathered on the senior lawn to raise the flag that had the bracelets and a black āVā in the center..
VHS principal, Carlos Cohen, gave a speech thanking and honoring first responders and the military color guard, who were present at VHS during the ceremony.
