100 word rant: Winds of Tomorrow
October 22, 2021
Santa Ana wind is just blatantly awful. For about two months every year I have to stay strapped with Chapstick & water at all times, otherwise my lips & throat feel like that town in Rango. I wish there was something to be done, like reducing fossil fuel emissions (to lower heat & increase humidity), using wind turbines for power (considering there’s so much to go around), or investing in long-term renewable energy sources (so that maybe my grandkids won’t need so much Chapstick). I’m not sure what to do, I just really hope the people making decisions about that wind will listen to those affected.

I know a lot of the students, so that makes it a little bit easier coming from Cabrillo, and it's been nice to see them all grown up."
