The Ventura High School Club Week took place between Sept. 14 and 16 during lunch on the senior lawn. VHS has 42 clubs as of the 2022-2023 school year, with all clubs participating in club week. Club week allowed these clubs to advertise themselves to new members. ASB Student Affairs President Caylin Mobley ´23 said, “The [ASB] Student Affairs Committee is in charge of planning club week. Lots of planning goes into club week. Our committee starts by reaching out to both previous clubs and teachers, providing the paperwork needed to participate in club week and become a club. Once the paperwork is submitted, the club is vetted to make sure it’s appropriate. Once approved, the club is placed on a master list. Using the list, tables are reserved and clubs are asked to check in and out with a member of the student affairs committee. ASB also makes posters and advertises club week through social media and word of mouth. Club week is a fantastic opportunity for new and returning students alike to find a club that fits their interests. The wide range of clubs at VHS provides a space for everyone to feel comfortable and connected to both the school and other students.” Photo by: James Rail
