Ventura High School’s 2024 car show revs up excitement
VHS hosts its annual car show on March 28

VHS English teacher Erik Votruba (right) brought his Type One Volkswagen Beetle. Vortuba said, “I can’t take a ton of credit for it, it belonged to my wife’s uncle. He bought it brand new in Santa Barbara in 1969.” He hasn’t done much to it since being given the car. Before he got his hands on it, the car got a new paint job and had been reupholstered.
