Ventura High School’s dance team was invited to the Pacifica High School Dance Showcase which occured on Friday, January 26 at PHS.

When senior and captain of the dance team, Natali Vazquez, was asked about the importance of the team being invited to the showcase she said, “I love performing so I did everything that was possible to attend, I even asked for the day off work.”

When asked how dance team performed Vasquez added, “I think we did a great job considering we didn’t have everyone that night and made changes to the dance the day of [the showcase]. Even though we had some obstacles, we ended up having a good night!”

At the showcase the dance team participated in the segment called “Just Keep Dancing.” The team performed a dance choreographed by seniors and captains Vazquez, Terra Bransfield and Brooke Newman to the song “One, Two Step” by Ciara.

The dance team’s next upcoming showcase will be held on Saturday, May 19 at the VHS auditorium and will include various dances and performances, including some from the VHS hip hop team.
